KONNECT Kenya–Canada is a year-round platform dedicated to strengthening relations between Kenya and Canada through trade, investment, tourism, education, business development, diplomacy, community engagement and people-to-people connections.
KONNECT brings together governments, diplomats, businesses, investors, professionals, institutions, youth, community leaders and the diaspora to create meaningful opportunities between the two countries.
The platform culminates every year on December 12 — Jamhuri Day through the KONNECT Kenya–Canada Forum, official flag-raising activities, business engagements and the KONNECT Awards.

Our Story
KONNECT was created to strengthen the growing relationship between Kenya and Canada by bringing people, businesses, institutions, governments and communities closer together. What began through community and civic engagement has evolved into a year-round platform focused on creating meaningful opportunities in trade, investment, tourism, education, diplomacy and business. KONNECT provides a space where relationships can become partnerships, ideas can become opportunities, and connections can create lasting impact.
Every December 12, on Kenya’s Jamhuri Day, KONNECT brings this vision to life through the annual Kenya–Canada Forum, the City of Brampton Flag Raising, business and investment engagements, cultural celebration and the KONNECT Awards. Through these activities and our year-round programs, we continue to build a stronger bridge between Kenya and Canada—celebrating achievement while creating opportunities for the future.
